Our 2 year old nursery has been purpose-built and provides children with the space and resources to play, explore and learn.
15 hours childcare for working parents of 2 year old children from April 2024
In April 2024, eligible parents of children who have turned 2 years old before 1st April can get help with their childcare costs by accessing 15 hours of government funded childcare.

15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds of non-working parents
Your child may be entitled to 15 hours fee child care. You can check by following this link: Bolton Council's Eligibility Checker for 2 year old funding or by calling into the school office, where we can complete this check for you.
You will need the following information:
- Child’s name and date of birth
- Address and postcode
- Parents/ carers national insurance number (or NASS Number)
- Parents/carers date of birth
- Contact details - phone & email address
- Birth certificate/ passport or any form of ID for the child
How do I know if I am entitled to 15 hours funding for my 2 year old, if I'm not working?
Your 2-year-old can get free childcare if you live in England and get one of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
- child tax credits, and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
- the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
2-year-olds can also get free childcare if they:
- are looked after by a local authority
- have a statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- get Disability Living Allowance
- have left care under an adoption order, special guardianship order or a child arrangements order
You may have to pay for extra costs like meals, nappies or trips.

If you’re a non-EEA citizen who cannot claim benefits
Your 2-year-old may get free childcare if you are getting support under the Immigration and Asylum Act and have either:
- claimed asylum in the UK and are waiting for a decision (known as ‘part 6’)
- been refused asylum in the UK (known as ‘section 4’)
A 2-year-old you care for may also get free childcare if your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, and you have any of the following:
- leave to remain with ‘no recourse to public funds’ on family or private life grounds
- support from your local council because you have ‘a child in need’, for example they have a disability or a child protection plan
- the right to live in the UK because you’re the main carer of a British citizen (known as a ‘Zambrano Carer’)
Check with your local council if you’re unsure if you can get free childcare.
Childcare for working parents from September 2024
From September 2024, 15 hours childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents with a child from 9 months old.
From 12th May, eligible working parents whose children will be aged between 9 and 23 months old on 31st August can apply to receive 15 hours childcare, starting from September 2024.

Ofsted Report about our Early Years Unit
Our Ofsted report identified the 2 year old Nursery unit as Outstanding. The Inspectors summary of key findings are:
