How do I find out if I am eligible for 30 hours childcare?

The government have a website where you can check if you are eligible before you apply for 30 hours childcare. Follow this link to the Government website: Eligibility

30 Hours Childcare

Your child may be entitled to 30 hours of free childcare starting the term after their third birthday.

You may be eligible for the Childcare Offer: 30 hours a week of government-funded early education and childcare for working parents of three and four year olds.

Forms need to be completed the term before your child is entitled to the 30 hours funding so it is advised to complete the funding form on child care choices during the term your child turns 3 and not to wait until they are entitled to it the following term.

You will need the following information to apply:

Child’s name and D.O.B.
Address and postcode
Parents/ carers national insurance number or NASS Number
Contact details - phone & email address
Birth certificate/ passport or any form of ID for the child

When do I apply for 30 hours funding?

Date when your child turns 3	When they can get 30 hours from	Recommended time to apply
1^st September to 31^st December	1^st January	15^th October to 30^th November
1^st January to 31^st March	1^st April	15^th January to 28^th February
1^st April to 31^st August	1^st September	15^th June to 31^st July

When you have checked your eligibility you will need to provide school with proof from the Government's Childcare Choices website, in the form of an 11 digit number. Please bring this information to the school office.
